Abstract: | Mass media in developing country like Nigeria is considered to be an integral part of the political structure; the reason being that, they provide information on what the people base their political judgments and form their political activities. Also, the level of awareness, responsibility and participation in any democratic society such as ours depend largely on the activities of the mass media. The study is anchored on the Multi-Step Flow of Communication Theory. The researcher adopted descriptive survey design, simple random sampling technique and employed structured questionnaire as the major instrument of data collection, from where 375 respondents were sampled while simple percentage and frequency tables were used in data analysis. In the course of the study, the researcher discovered that: the solutions to the problems hindering EBBC Campaign from promoting Voter's Registration in Ebonyi State among others include: Regular funding of EBBC Campaign programmes and Enlightening the masses on the importance of their voters registration. Arising from the above findings the researcher recommends that, producers of political campaign messages should make optimum use of their right sense of judgment in packaging their messages to avoid deception on voters. |
